We help energy companies to continuously monitor developments and to influence standards and guidelines in the industry. The programme coordinates the companies and organisations that have identified a need for agreements to develop their goods and services. These include private and public organisations, global companies, authorities, municipalities and county councils, industry associations, and NGOs. The aim is to facilitate trade and innovation and to streamline operations.
The programme monitors and drives issues relating to the standards that affect the Swedish energy industry. This may involve materials, technology, the environment and safety. Through the programme's involvement in the Swedish Institute for Standards, Swedish energy companies are also represented in the European standardisation organisation CEN and the global organisation ISO. This means that Swedish energy companies are also involved in driving international development in the energy field.
We also organise a seminar every two years that reflects news and results from the technical committees linked to SIS. The seminar also focuses on trends that affect or are driven by standardisation and is a source of inspiration for those representing the energy industry in standardisation work.
